May 2014: No updates to this site in a while, but I'm still alive. I've been drawing some e-learning video stuff for a start-up based in Dortmund. I'm working on a souvenir project in Bremen, working out illustrations for a novel by a young writer from Luxembourg and preparing some other projects, too. More info on all of this in the not-so-distant future.
If you live in Germany, please spare a moment of your time to learn about the Hebammenprotest, every bit of support is very welcome! Thank you.
Have a great time and perhaps see you again soon. Cheers, Jeff.
January 2014: All my best wishes for 2014! Let's make it a good one!? Yeeeeeehaw!
November 2013: I created the cover image for this month's issue of forum - Zeitschrift für Politik, Gesellschaft und Kultur (Luxembourg), "Bücher zwischen Kultur und Kommerz", out 07-11-2013.
Just in time for Christmas, I got together with Jonas Lang from nonessentials and we came up with a new version of Schiffe versenken (Battleship). Our version of this traditional game is played out over an epic period of twenty-four days, and also works as an Advent calendar! :)
Earlier this month, my friend Julia Hermesmeyer launched her website and released a music video she shot earlier this summer. I'm going to post some behind-the-scenes photos soon.
My mind wasn't really with this website all through October, my apologies if you came here looking for updates and found none.
I've decided to open a Facebook page. That way, it will be easier for anyone interested to see when/what I update (you don't need an account to access that information).
September 2013: I'm very happy to see my work on the cover of this month's issue of forum - Zeitschrift für Politik, Gesellschaft und Kultur (Luxembourg)! :-)
I've also drawn a record cover for my old friend Eric Rosenfeld aka Communicaution's next digital EP 'Try Harder', out via bandcamp (16-09-2013).
We both fell in love with the very first sketch I did and decided to make it 'our' cover. It's a drawing of Eric wearing his Eeyore costume, hiding his Blake tattoo, playing his guitar, out to catch you in the rye.
Eric writes: "In my humble opinion, music should help us feel better. So if you're down in any way, I wrote this one for you. Hope it helps."
He means it, and I'm sure you'll feel it, too! Until then, take good care of yourselves and be safe.
July 2013: After a very long hiatus, the website is finally up and running again. It is still under very heavy construction.
For now, there's already quite a bit of stuff in the 'LOOK' section, though there is more to come.
The embedded players in the 'LISTEN' section are up and running. My home-recordings will be available for free download again in due time, just as they used to be in the past. I doubt there will be a huge demand for them, but they're my dearest and that's reason enough for me.
I'm going to upload zip files containing 320kbps mp3 files and cover artwork at a later date; I'm probably going to use Mediafire. I'm afraid the download option on Bandcamp isn't free of charge, because in the unlikely event of 200+ downloads per month (any song or album counts as 1 download) I have to pay a service fee.
Also, there's the odd chunk of something in the other sections. If you like what you find, please bear with me ;) Much appreciated.
Have a nice day or night!
ex-oh ex-oh (Exxon Valdez), Jeff
